Full-Time Senior Reservoir Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex carbonate reservoir projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), reservoir simulation, and advanced modeling techniques, particularly in CO2 WAG development and gas cycling projects.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead reservoir simulation studies for complex carbonate reservoirs under waterflood
Develop and implement EOR strategies, particularly CO2 WAG development
Perform detailed reservoir characterization and modeling
Conduct advanced simulation studies using both black oil and compositional models
Optimize SMART well operations and applications
Analyze and model CO2 rock-fluid interactions and solid deposition
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams
Develop reservoir management strategies and production optimization plans
Create comprehensive technical reports and presentations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve production targets
Technical Requirements
Simulation & Modeling Experience
Full field reservoir simulation (black oil and compositional)
Complex carbonate reservoir modeling
Waterflood optimization and management
CO2 WAG development modeling
Gas cycling project simulation
SMART well modeling and applications
CO2 rock-fluid interaction modeling
Solid deposition modeling

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
Minimum 15 years of reservoir engineering experience
Extensive experience with carbonate reservoirs with:
Minimum 20 years field history
More than 100 wells
Proven track record in EOR projects
Strong background in numerical simulation
Experience with Qatar Energy standard applications
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering
Experience in Middle East carbonate reservoirs
Publications in relevant technical journals
Professional engineering certifications
Experience with artificial lift optimization
Knowledge of regional reservoir characteristics
